The October 2012 Ideal Home magazine dropped through the letter box this morning - there’s a lovely article with lots of images and an interview by Joanna Simmons. We talk about the alterations we made to the house, the features we like and its eclectic contents. It’s certainly nice to see what the place looked like pre-flood!

According to their FAQ page, “N.E.E.T. came about in 2005 as an online publication dedicated to showcasing independent talent - design, art, and general fantastic originality. N.E.E.T. is the first of its kind, online, free and packed with everyone from a crafter creating from their kitchen table, to a fashion design graduate straight out of college, to a team of people doing it for the love of it.”
There are over 200 pages of vintage & indie loveliness - it’s chock-ful of fashion, craft, photography, shopping, interviews, recipes and more…
A band of really talented, international contributors makes this magazine one of the best quality publications out there on the net.
Although it seems as though print magazines have been, and will be, around forever e-zines have a growing presence. Their influence is sure to spread! Here are a couple of our other current faves:

Our home has been featured in the January 2011 issue of the newly redesigned Period Homes & Interiors magazine…
…and, even better, they’ve asked us to be their new vintage experts!

Adelle’s sister is a regular visitor to Sweden.
On one trip she picked up a selection of Swedish interiors magazines for us.
We’ve enjoyed browsing through them…
…particularly having a peek at the houses and products that haven’t appeared in UK publications.
We wanted to share a few of our favourites with you.
Here are links to the websites of the magazines that we’ve featured:
We’ve had a very nice mention in the January 2009 edition of Grand Designs magazine which came out this week.
The article’s called Last Orders and H is for Home is featured amongst their 50 favourite websites - with emphasis on websites for those late Christmas shopping ideas.
They highlighted a vintage 1960s tomato red Cathrineholm enamel coffeepot.
We’ve just been featured in the December issue of ‘Your Home’. Initially, the magazine asked us for one or two product shots of items from the H is for Home website. This escalated to a full house feature.
A couple of months ago, a photographer and his assistant spent a whole day taking shots around our house. We’re very happy with the results, they’ve used a lot of the photos and the article is spread over six whole pages!
If you’d like to be able to read the feature properly we’ve scanned larger versions of each of the pages:
